30 minutes is a lot of time when you are comparing a little over three hours with a little less than four.

Personally, I can't see a normal situation where that is a critical factor. Heck a trip from Cincinnati to Cleveland would only be about 30 minutes shorter.
That's 30 minutes that could be spent doing something more productive than puttering along at unreasonably restrictive speeds.

I could've sworn some of those windy mountain roads in western PA were 70 until ~5 years ago. Guess I was mistaken.

I guess I've just realized I'm a little more relaxed and laid back (and don't plan my days so saving 30 minutes on a 4 hour drive is that critical.) I really like to look at the surroundings when I am on the road.

So I can drive my usual freeway speed(75-80) when I finally get to Columbus? Cool.

It just seems like that when you're barrelling down a mountain on those narrow lanes, with narrow shoulders, and there's a big ol' truck on your ass.

Hi natininja--

Not the train proposed by Ted Strickland and mercifully killed by John Kasich because it would only do 79 MPH.

What I'm dying for is a properly trained driving public so that we don't have to set stupidly low speed limits on perfectly wide, straight, flat interstates to accommodate every yokel who shows up at the DMV with a pulse and a ten-dollar bill.

(79 MPH in its first phase)

Regardless of the speed, it would allow more time to do things other than keeping your eyes fixed on the road.
