A woman from Los Angeles, CA who was a tree hugger, a Democrat, and an anti-hunter, purchased a piece of timberland near Colville , WA . There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch.

In considerable pain, she hurried to Mt. Carmel ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters. The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her.

She sat and waited three hours before the doctor reappeared. The angry woman demanded, "What took you so long?"
He smiled and then told her, "Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a recreational area. I'm sorry, but due to Obama Care, they turned me down."

GOD BLESS AMERICA !

In the S W part, we got 4-6" of snow over night. That should be gone (from down here) by tomorrow. But the 10F wind chills will stay all week.
My dog won't even step outside.

Here's something to laugh about:

My truck is still equipped for California...including the(oversized) tires.
It's a 4X4,(5 sp) but a link from the shifter to the transfer case is missing.

I had to go to the store today and got stuck in my driveway. I finally rocked myself out.
On my way back the light turned red at the top of ahill on Main St. I was tempted to keep going, but as a law obiding citizen I stopped.
It turned green, I went to take off and I sit there(uphill) spinning.

I kept pushing in the clutch and rolling backward to catch some traction. Finally! After 45 mins of this BS, I was pulled to the top and caught some traction.
I think one problem is that I don't have any weight in the bed. I also found that taking off in 2nd helps in loose spots.

I'm not like you guys. I'm not use to driving in snow.
