Husband and I just came home from visiting OKC. Loved the sunshine and the people were very nice and friendly. Lots of houses on the market with great prices which makes it attractive. We live in the Nashville area which is in a strong Seller's Market. I've seen OKC in the top 10 Worst Allergy Places, but for people that just get rhinitis from the weather (fluctuating, etc), what is it like? Thanks!

Seems like everyone has allergies here. Year around.

Just a sniffle, sneeze, and itchy eyes. Nothing that Zyrtec can't handle.

Probably not good if your line of work depends on your vocals. Then again, the natural humidity here seems to keep things well lubricated.

If you're allergic to pollen, it's naturally worse during the late summer and through the fall until first frost. Spring time is second worst.

Thanks for your postings. I kinda figured, with the flat land and winds that sinus and allergies were a problem. OKC is really a nice place though! Having family there is very attractive for me!

Welcome to Oklahoma!

There is a lot of cultural affinity between Oklahoma and Tennessee, especially when it comes to hospitality and friendliness.

Main difference, as you note is the topography is different with large swaths of OK being more flat, with some notable exceptions in the eastern part of state (which can be quite hilly, green, piney, and beautiful).

But again, culturally there is a lot of similarity and overlap. Hope ya'll enjoy your time here!

When I lived in Michigan my allergies and sinuses where horrible I had to make visits to allergist. But since I moved to Oklahoma city all that has cleared up I have no issues with allergies and sinuses.
