No...but way too close...only one mile away. Our lights kept dimming...and ABC weather folks didn't want to make the tornado call despite their spotters say "YES, we see it."
Very confusing at one point. We have quite the full house that night. We were baby sitting a friend's German Shep, had our 2 big dogs, two cats, a friend up from Texas and us...all in a master closet (lol). Thankfully, no one was hurt!!!!

No, thankfully, but it was a little close for comfort for this California transplant. The house that was on the homepage of most of the news websites yesterday is in our neighborhood. We had no idea that it came so close until Monday morning.

It is winding down in June. From July - September they "virtually" disappear, then in October we have a secondary season. That is only from late September - late October for maybe 4 weeks or so.

We are driving, so will not get out there until about the 5th of June....not sure how I will adjust to those tornados. Definately planning on installing a storm shelter, ASAP! My DH cousin has lived in OK for about 20yrs. Her DH now stands outside on the porch watching for them. Guess that's what happens when you get accustomed to such things. Don't think I will ever be doing that!

Early to Mid-May is the peak of the tornado season. After that we are still in the season, but there is a very noticeable drop-off in tornadoes as the weather starts to become warmer.

Very confusing at one point. We have quite the full house that night. We were baby sitting a friend's German Shep, had our 2 big dogs, two cats, a friend up from Texas and us...all in a master closet (lol). Thankfully, no one was hurt!!!!
