How about a gigantic six shooter that actually fires giant bullets into space. Isn't it about time OKC got into the space program.

But seriosly I would rather see OKC do it's own thing than copy someone else.

I dont think anyone needs to worry about lil' OKC copying something great in some monster city. Wishful thinking dough.

Lets just build the freakin Devon Tower then we will look at other possibilities......

I was saying some thing cool like other cities have.
We could get something futuristic.

You got the cowboy hall of fame, what could be cooler than that?

You, just as many others, want something iconic for OKC and so you can say "ours is bigger than yours"? I felt that way at a time... Don't worry, the opportunity will come sometime in the future. I agree with happytown though, build the Devon Tower, hurry up and get that thing done and we'll see then what will be most compatible. OKC has a lot of potential for something iconic and Devon Tower will be the first step.

As I recall...Dallas fought OKC over the cowboy hall of fame in the 80s. Why? because it has a ton of Remington.

Maybe the gilcrease should be renamed the Museum of Cowboy Art, considering it also has a large collection of Remington and other kitch cowboy stuff.

Texas took over the western heritage industry. Oklahoma is rich in it, more than Indians in some cases I think.

Actually there is the new pedestrian bridge that will be iconic. It will be around 180' tall. That will be something new and iconic for the city.
