Not mine. I grabbed these off skyscrapercity. The owner is called "Urban Enthusiast." Just to give him/her props.

Synopsis, those are just fantastic and compliments to the photographer, too. I'm so glad you shared them with us. You know, it has never dawned on me that all those lush trees could make quite a mess in the autumn. Your water is so clear there, just like ours. Unfortunately, it's not that way all over anymore.

The pic of the city~is that Tulsa? AND the first pic of the hilly area~where is that?

Such beautiful pictures, I wish they were captioned. I just spoke with my friend in Shawnee who went to Beaver Bend this weekend. I looked it up on the net and really envy the fact that he got to see such beauty this weekend. How I would love to be in OK again. Someday, sigh!!

Yes Jammie, all of the pics are in Tulsa. Most of them were taken around mid-town with a few being on the South side. Choctaw2, Beavers Bend is an awesome place; very beautiful especially this time of the year. What's keeping you in NM if you don't mind me asking?

Hey, Jammie. Yes they do make a mess but the wind will eventually blow all the leaves away.

Neat photos, Synopsis. I like how so many of your pics show people, and show about life in the area.

Choctaw, Beavers Bend is one of my favorite places in OK. Driving up 259 north from Broken Bow, then west on the Talimena drive is so scenic too.

You mean the Quachita Mountains for the first pic of the hilly area I think Jammie. That's in the SE part of the state.

Yes, that's what I was wondering. It looks like it's nice down there and I remembered some other pics several months ago. I thought it may be down there.

Peggy, that's right. You get stuck dealing with all those leaves, don't you? Actually, we kind of have our own share of leaves to deal with in the autumn though and unfortunately, the winds usually blow them right on OUR lawn.

What's keeping me in NM? It's that husband of mine. Absolutely refuses to move to "Tornado Alley" as he calls it. He is from Pennsylvania. Well its his attitude and his health, he has Parkinson's along with a few other problems. We have kids, grand kids and great grandkids here. So when he retired we decided to come here from CA. But I so long to live in OK again, I have lived in several places in OK. Was born in Carter, have lived in Delhi, Fredrick, Tahlequah, Wister and Shawnee. My daddy was a travelling man, we lived where ever he found work. I lived in shawnee after I met and married my first husband. Fell in love with the town and that is where my heart stayed. Shawnee was the best of all and where I'd like to live again.
