You know for not wanting liberals to move to your state along with changing your state maybe you should reconsider your stance on your state being flat and desolate? I am sure many from California consider your state flat compared to their Sierra Nevada Mountains, I am also sure they consider Oklahoma desolate comapred to their state.
IMHO I think North Dakota is a great state. I don't know why someone would knock someone else's state, especially if that someone was from Oklahoma. Believe me, most folks here in Oklahoma are warm and inviting. Remember Will Rogers is from Oklahoma.

I don expect you to know where in OK this is
That picture is beautiful. How wonderful it is to live in a state with such diverse terrain. Within a few hundred miles you have semi-arid, plains, and lush forested mountains.

That area is not the definition of Oklahoma, it’s a very small slice of Oklahoma. There are probably less than 100k people in southeast Oklahoma and more than 2.3 million in the two metros.
There's actually about 250,000 people in southeastern Oklahoma.

Central Oklahoma is situated in an area called the cross timbers -the beginning of the eastern woodlands.

By the way: the brown area beginning in the Texas panhandle westward into eastern NM is the Great plains.
I have never heard of "Rose bed Farmland" I googled and Binged "Rose Bed Farmland" and didn't come up with anything. But it sounds interesting to me. Can you help me out with a link that has more information on "Rose Bed Farmland"

Let's get some better pictures of places in Oklahoma other than the boring and typical NW portion of our state and the nasty plains. SE Oklahoma will do.

Oklahoma is a large and diverse state. The SE part of the state is just a part of it. Each part of the state has its own beauty.

I'm not so sure about now, but in 2008, Oklahoma was the only 100% red state. Every single county was RED.

I just saw this posted on Facebook.

Oklahoma is the only state that Obama did not win even one county in the last election... While everyone is focusing on Arizona ’s new law, look what Oklahoma has been doing!!!!

An update from Oklahoma :

Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9 an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this i
s a conservative state, based on Christian values...! HB 1330

Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. HB 1804. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.

Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Recently we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegal's to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional SB 1102

Guess what......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. Joining Texas , Montana and Utah as the only states to do so.
More states are likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi and Florida. Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again. HJR 1003

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a setback for the criminals The Liberals didn't like it -- But....
Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Just this month, the state has voted and passed a law that ALL drivers’ license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language. They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of the road signs are in English only. If you want to drive in Oklahoma , you must read and write English. Really simple.

By the way, the Liberals don't like any of this either

Guess what...who cares... Oklahoma is doing it anyway.

If you like it, pass it on, if you don't then delete it...Thanks Guess what : they people I'm sending this to , will send it on. Well, at least the ones who love and believe in freedom will.
It's no wonder young, educated professionals are fleeing this state for Texas. Texas is also a red state but its a bit more moderate than Oklahoma and more welcoming to people from all walks of life, at least in the cities. The ironic thing is "love and believe in freedom" will send it on...a right wing police state isn't freedom anymore than a leftist communist state is. 5 years in prison for smoking a joint? That is ridiculous. Can't buy beer cold or past 9PM? That is equally ridiculous.

It is my belief that leaning a particular direction politically is great but too far on either extreme is not good. New York and Oregon are on the left what Oklahoma is on the right.

And this is why JohnSpecial need not worry about Libs moving here in overwhelming numbers.

The irony to me is that this type of legislation would probably be attractive to people who might be interested in moving a factory to Oklahoma, however as you stated, for high tech type of growth it's the exact wrong formula.

I'm also pretty sure that like California, Oklahoma is not defined by one terrain by the people who have spent time in OK. I'm pretty sure of that being raised here. I'm also pretty sure that those people in CA tbat are comparing out state to one mountain range have little knowledge of Oklahoma's terrain. Oklahoma is nothing like north Dakota. Culturally or geographically. I'm sorry.
