Default recomendations

First of all, thank you for the welcome. it means alot to me.
Can anyone give me names of good Doctors and osteopaths? Owasso or tulsa area. But I will travel some too for a good doctor that really can help me.
I gained 145lbs back the first hospital stay and 96lbs on the second hospital stay....being on predisone. And it was NOT water weight and it was not weight easily lost.It was just like any weight to loss. An old doctor from WI told me she thought it was because of my POTS which is a rare illness. And I need a good nuerologist for POTS,and a good lung doctor for my COPD,and a good internest for my nueropathy. I have a detering spine and right leg and foot and my neck and shoulders are also in bad shape.
If ya got any names of good medical professionals PLEASE tell me. I am at a lost and desperately need doctors.Thaniks

You show up as a member on my screen. People do tend to wander around a bit within threads, but usually get back to whatever is under discussion.

You haven't done anything wrong. Did you think the meandering responses were ignoring you somehow? The way I have my computer set up I'm always logged in, and I hope it doesn't forget me some day because I don't remember my password! But sometimes the CD site takes awhile to catch up with what's going on, too, sometimes it says my last visit was 4 or 5 days earlier, when I actually check in on one forum or another every day.

OH, I get it. Thanks for explaining things. I have been wondering around just so I can see what is going on here and what else I might be interested in. I haven't gotten many responses to my posts, but I didn't think it was personal. I thought it was because they are such new posts.

If you are an osteopath in Oklahoma, like my doctor who keeps us healthy, you probably graduated from OSU. They have a really good school and that is probably the reason why that is another thing better in Oklahoma...osteopaths.

By the way, he says a happy life is making us gain weight.

Ain't that the truth? I'm pretty good at losing them myself, but, only when I really need them!

jolly, I'm really sorry for what you are going through! I can relate on the prednisone. I gained so much weight from it, I finally told my doc, No More. It wasn't real effective for me, anyway. Can you call your primary doctor and have them recommend the specialists you need?

I don't have a primary. I have gone to 2 and both were so rude and mean I am still looking. I have an app. on March 7th for another one. I sure hope this one is kind and good.

Finally, I had a full-blown temper tantrum in his waiting room, I'd been telling him for over 12 years there was something wrong, and he finally referred me to a specialist in Anchorage. The specialist wanted to know why on earth I hadn't come right away, he could have repaired it then. But by the time I finally got to see him the best he could do was fix it enough so it didn't hurt constantly and fold under me at inopportune moments. I couldn't see him earlier, because he saw patients only by referrals, and since my doc didn't see any reason to refer me, well... So now it doesn't hurt, but it's also not stable, and I have difficulties with stairs. All because that charming twit wouldn't listen. And that's not the only thing he didn't listen about, nor am I the only one who got the questionable benefit of his services. Anything ordinary, like flu or a broken arm or sprained ankle, fine. Anything else, forget it.
If you ask me he should be sued for malpractice. That has a major impact on your life and his negligence caused it. I'm not much for lawsuits, but in some cases they are well deserved.

Try googling "best doctor." I did and found the following website:

Find, Research, Check Doctor Quality and Credentials (http://findthebestdoctors.com/PhysicianSearch.asp - broken link)

I wish you all the best jolly. It's not only a burden on you physically, but to have a Dr. that is rude has got to be tough on you emotionally. Please let us know how things work out.
