When its cold the heat comes on and stays on and its comfortable inside without three layers and fluffy socks. When it goes on and off it never quite gets warm enough.

It does teach you to keep an assortment of clothes handy which can be worn and taken off or put on as needed. Until its sure its summer I'm keeping the supply handy.

There is one thing I miss from the house we had out in socal. Yes, it does get truely cold there in the winter, and central heating is a wonderful thing but would probably cost the cost of the house to put it in my 1931 house.
I went to bed with two pair of socks on and thermo longjohns over a pair of sweat pants.

Wild afternoon down here in SW OK so far, confirmed tornado at Loveland, Chattanooga, heading for Geronimo. On the KSWO radar it looked like a mini hurricane, sadly reminiscent of the May 20th 2013 Moore tornado.

Edit: KSWO just directed their own staff to seek shelter, east side of Lawton (7:35 PM).

As an aside, is David Payne annoying to others? My in-laws can't stand his grandstanding; they miss Gary England.

They are all annoying to the point I'd rather be carried off by a storm than listen to the 3 main network weather idiots. They are in some kind of contest as to which one can come up with the most useless equipment names or insider information terms. And watching Mike Morgan makes my butt itch. I swear someone puts ants in his pants before he goes on air. As for the ladies, Emily Sutton is fun to watch, but OMG that Channel 5 weather girl...her voice makes Roseanne Barr's voice sound soothing.

Gary England himself doesn't hide the fact he does not care for David Payne on his twitter.. I think they are quite opposite..

Right now Mr. Payne is on the air regarding big cells near Cleo Springs, and I suspect he's going to need to see a chiropractor tomorrow from all of the self-congratulatory pats on his back he's been making about his and his crew's expertise.
