Montanamom I'm wishing you the best of luck and hope you find Oklahoma to your liking. You're doing the right thing, researching the areas most suitable to you. Oklahoma is a diverse state as far as scenery and environments so you have a lot to choose from.

Well, I put my house up for sale yesterday and already have had two people call who are interested in it. I have the two showings tomorrow - spent all day today cleaning, storing clutter, spiffing it up and darned if it doesn't look like something right off of HGTV! I even roped off the living room/kitchen and I won't let my teenagers even go IN there. They also must now take their shoes off at the door. I know I'm driving them crazy, but it has to be this way. Gosh, I hate selling houses, I've done this just too many times now. I'm hoping for a quick sale, wish me luck!

Good luck. We got an offer on our house about a week and a half ago, and our realtor says she's already taken a back up offer, also. Our house was on the market for about 3-1/2 months, which is excellent in NJ because the housing market is really bad there.

Colleen, I'm glad you've had such luck on getting your home sold in New Jersey in this volatile market. I got an offer on mine today, and it's a cash offer, so all should go well.

My daughter is graduating and somewhat excited about moving. My son (age 15), however, is less than thrilled. He's got "friends" here, and just started high school this year. I was wondering how your son is now adjusting.
