Everyone I run into asks me "have you been through a summer here in Oklahoma yet" No I haven't and yet I moved here...I am getting a little scared. I can't stand to be outside right now...much less go running outside. It's too hot in the morning before I go to work to go run and the one day I did go (at 7am) I couldn't hardly breathe. Then of course I don't have allergies but everyone says "you will". Can it be that bad?

But don't get me wrong. I love the people here...very friendly. It's just the weather puzzles me. I wake up not knowing what will happen by the end of the day.

Yes, 50 degree weather would sound fine to me; it's 96 here in DFW with a heat index of 104. For you foreigners that's 40 degrees C.

When I go out to get into my vehicle after work, the steering wheel is too hot to touch, and this is EARLY JUNE!

I'll take 51 degrees over 104 any time!

Oh yeah, send that 51 degrees down here to Texas, but bypass CG and Tulsa; he needs to be indoctrinated in Oklahoma weather real proper like...

I guess PA is much cooler. That is, IF I can get something to survive on up there or if that one job where I can work from anywhere pans out. So far, they are mum..

One advantage of being older is that the older you get, the faster time passes (or do we just slow down), so whatever the temps are it won't be the same for long.. Or at least it seems that way.

Good point...
I used to think time just passed faster, but I'm
beginning to think I'm just slowing down....
Either way, I guess I'm OK with it...
(Like I have a choice?)

Far from boring....as the saying goes "if you don't like the weather in Oklahoma..just wait, it will change". Or my husbands favorite saying of the day when I ask how come this or that "WELCOME TO OKLAHOMA"
