I don't mind updating our plates but come on, at least give us plates that don't look like someone took some scissors and glue and threw it together...I wonder who is in charge of making these decisions. I mean the scissor-tailed fly catcher on our quarter? We have lead the nation in farming, oil and gas innovations, weathered through a calamity like the Dust Bowl and the OKC bombing, have a bustling cities like OKC and Tulsa and they stick us with a bird on our quarter, Oklahoma is not known for its BIRDS OR FLOWERS...no wonder we have an image problem.

Oh and here's a great pick pocketing scheme, if you want to keep your license plate number you have to pay an additional 17 dollars...unless you have personalized plates. I guess its not a big deal unless those random numbers really meant something to you but it still bugs me, I might just get mine and send it back with a post-it note that says 'UGLY, WILL NOT DISGRACE MY VEHICLE WITH THIS'.

Nah, Canada still has mountains and mosquitos. They went all the way to Florida, I think, or near to it. It was mostly Alabama and Mississippi where they got stopped the most, if I remember right. In fact, during the time DH and I were in Montana we got followed very closely quite a few times by troopers wanting a closer look at our AK plates, though they never actually stopped us.

I'd imagine AK plates would be a novelty in alot of places. We see so many of them in W WA that it's no biggy. I agree with the other poster who said that the newer plates look like someone took scissors and just cut and paste. I like updated plates if they look good, but so many of them don't that the older ones look best. I do like IL and TX plates, but maybe because they're red, white, and blue.

Tennessee re-did our plates in 07, I think they're a major upgrade over what we had.

I have to admit, those new Oklahoma plates are pretty bad, Texas's new plates are pretty bad too...

I'm not putting that crap on my truck.

I'll get vanity plates or some OU ones, Ok has about 20,000 different plate styles so surely I can find something better than those. We need to get some OPSU plates!
