A Friend and I are potentially relocating to McAlester, OK to work at the AAP down in Savanna, we have two cats, and are just out of college so we definately can't afford a house, but have no clue if there are appartments, or house rentals in the area *very few websites*... if anyone has suggestions please to give us a hand!

Thanks!

Britt

Valley View Apartments, 1200 E Pierce Ave, McAlester, OK on Yahoo ...

I don't know anything about these apartments.

You might check the classifieds next week to see if a house might come up for rent. Most people would just put up a sign in the yard. The newspaper has a forum with more local people on it. Maybe you could ask them.

I lived at Hardy Springs for a while. It is really nice, 1 block from the movie theater, 2 resteraunts and bars. It is also the closest apartment to your job. I payed about $450 amonth for a 2 bedroom. Good Luck.

New apartment on the west side of town on Carl Albert. Why would one want to move to McAlester is beyond me. Lived here now for 10 years, my husband was transferred to the base from Ill. Now, I will admit I have a beautiful ranch that I couldn't have afforded in any other State but if you want a life after work and do not have any cows or horses, what are you going to do?

Everyone likes diff things. Just because you do not like it does not mean someone else won't love it. If we all liked the same things it may be a little boring.

Actually I do love my ranch. I miss snow!!!!!!!!!!!!! and my friends from up North. That is all. I think if someone wants country land this is a perfect place to buy and live. I meant if you want city life (which I don) then McAlester has nothing to offer. Sorry, you guys I wasn't really putting McAlester down. I raise cattle so I am busy on my land but my parents moved here a few years ago and they sit in McAlester waiting for me to visit. Nothing else to do unless you want to go to the Wellness Center which is a gym.
