What is the state going to do to fix this mess? And Oklahoma is not the only state with this kind of problem, but I have to admit the roads up there are in some of the poorest shape I've seen anywhere. In Rhode Island, 22 percent of their bridges are structurally deficient. This is a systemic problem in the US.

As much as I disagree with the stimulus bill, from what I understand, part of the money will come to OK for infrastructure. Hopefully the bridges will be on the list.

If you want to monitor the stimulus bill and see where the money is going, go to Recovery.gov.

Beats the heck out of signing checks to a couple of wall street banks for $350,000,000,000 just so the board of directors can get their bonus.........

Funny you should mention bridge repair. They just completed redoing a bridge here north of Hooterville on Hwy 48. It sure looks good now.

Our roads and bridges do suck. I'll give them that. HOWEVER, I (and most of you) pay plenty enough taxes that they could be fixed without a kabillion dollar spending package. UGH
