MK, I'll have to get back to you on the model. I know it is a 94 model.
The Mfg Date (below the Mdl#) says it a "99" model.

Parts for Murray are still sold but they went out of business over 5 years ago.

3 blades? 42,46 or 48 in, cut? I'm quessing it's 42 because that's what the mdl# starts with.

Murray (your Mdl#) does that look like it?

Two blades, I think it is 42 in. cut. I did find this:

But I can't figure out what to move/adjust to bring the blade deck up.

Deck rollers (#50) are adjustable on brackets (#54 FT & #53 rear) see the 3 seperate holes?

Is your engagement lever on the dash? Without starting it, engage the blades and see if the blade belt is tight.

note:
If the engine runs rough take the air cleaner off and see if it's dirty, if so, clean it. A dirty air filter will cause the engine to run like it's on choke. (Choke out). If there's black suet in the muffler discharge, it's choking out.

If the deck hangers (#8) are bent the deck will be misaligned and will cut unevenly.

Are both blades level with the bottom of the deck? If grass is packed around the blades the air flow will be cut off and they won't cut properly.

Also, with grass packed under the deck the blades will slow down. When that happens, the engine turns faster than the belt ( spins inside the belt) and eventually the belt will be damaged or burnt in half.

I saw that!

Got a ride to Wally World and got something relatively cheap. I say 'relatively' cuz I looked first at the place in town and they had some cute little riding mowers - Poulan and Dixon - that cost more than every car but one I've ever bought.

All I remember without going back outside and looking at it, is that it's not a Weedeater (that was the cheapest model), and it does have a Briggs & Stratton engine,

Now all I have to do is figure out how to re-assemble the handle thingie. Don't ever, ever believe anyone who tells you something is a lot easier to pop back out than it was to fold up.

It isn't.

Weedeater mowers ARE the cheapest (in every way) on the market today.

Poulan is just another version of Craftsman with a different color(black) and name. All parts are innerchangable.

Did you get the handle assy, together. Those can be hard because the brake lever has to go inside the drive engagement box,(self propelled)
