Cordless Electric?

STIHL is one of the top brands between gasoline,2-cycle,Commercial and Homeowners outdoor equipment. (Best known for chainsaws)
I don't work on much electric equipment. Actually, there's not much to repair.
So when electric equip, goes out, it's more or less disposable.

I have seen ele. Stihl line trimmers and to be honest, I've heard no complaints about them.
I don't know what the invironment calls for in SD, but you do know that you can remove the trimmer head and replace it with a blade? (on staight shaft weedeaters that is)

I'm not sure. rechargeable, so it has to be elec, and cordless, for sure. A cord and a weed whacker would be bad news, for me........ Dad told me to look @ them when I go to the farm store.

Their useless if your trying to cut high weeds for long periods of time, but ok if your just doing quick jobs (quickies) outside of the house.

If you have alot to trim I would prefer a staight shaft weedeater over a curved shaft.

I have a gas powered one, that I cannot run. Mr. uses that one. I need somthing I can handle, to trim home & cemetery, and not feel like I need shoulder surgery, when I'm done.

Those are powerful machines. Just stay clear of the lines, they can rip you apart "the boot" is controled by the bar you see up on the handles.

I haven't seen any that were self-propelled.

you'll find it in the link below it, (bottom of the page)

I have some gas. I finally got the *&(#%&*( handle thing straightened out and screwed together. Now, all I have to do is make it START! I pull and pull and pull and it doesn't even splutter. And yes, it has oil, it has gas, it doesn't have a throttle, it has a push button primer, and I've done everything the manual says. And it still won't start.
