Pray tell, O Tidy One, what reputation DOES Oklahoma have? As far as reps go, the old adage applies here ONCE AGAIN.... a person's perceptions are colored more by what's behind their eyes, than what is in front of them. You sound like you need a hug, a trash bag, and a stick with a nail in it.

You USED to be against stereotypes?... Does that mean you are now a proud patch wearing believer in stereotypes? My god. Please tell us what college you are at and what your major is, so we can send a purple sash bearing "I Hate It Here" for you to wear with PRIDE.

Let's get this story straight, you saw someone (an undergrad perhaps?) leave their empty container after drinking it, then walk away, so you quickly deduce the poignant thing to do is sign on to CDF, and ask, "What is with YOU OKLAHOMAN'S?" Like every person is now a trashy person? LOL! Get real!

You DO realize there are rude drivers are in every state, right? Or is that a thesis that you haven't read yet. IT'S COMMON SENSE!

OMG, he's carrying a slew of stereotypes in his bookbag! Someone get a PhD! He needs a scholarly consoling voice by a man with bushy eyebrows and a kindly voice with a tweed jacket with elbow patches! (that's a stereotype to add to your collection)

A graduate student no less! LOL!

thier ? (yeah so I'm nitpicking)

Worst drivers.
Trashiest state.
Unfriendliest people.
In the top 10 for child molestation.
Number 1 for animal cruelty.

Where do you get your stats? I would have to say .. prove it.
You will not be able to since those comments are false, yes I did the research before posting. You, however, obviously failed to do your homework before you decided to post.

Once you leave, yay, the stats for the worst teachers in Oklahoma will be reduced.

Yeah, someone who pays WAY to much attention to WAY to much negativity. I could draw the same conclusions about Texas, especially the trash-covered greenways along Houston's freeways, rude drivers, high rates of child abuse and high tobacco use.

Yet, people are moving to Texas in giant herds. And, it is a bible-belt state as well. So, can you please reiterate your logic wyllow?

As we have said in the past, it's perfectly OK to hate being here and to want to leave. (check butt for door handle), but it is not okay to say ~all~ Oklahomans are this or that.

When you say, "what is it with YOU OKLAHOMANS", are you referring to all the folks in Gerty? Allen? Wewoka? Gotebo? Or any of the hundreds of towns in Oklahoma? Probably not, because you have no clue about the people who live there, and therefore you should not be making delusional statements about them.

As for cho-mo's, I would think anyone else would be glad they are being prosecuted to the fullest in this state. Maybe you should contemplate that while you are having your undergrads tidy up the classroom before class.

In fact when you say, "stop being racist", not everyone here in Oklahoma is racist, and you won't change those who are and you are preaching to the choir to those who aren't.

Do yourself a favor, go see your advisor and ask to transfer to a state university where undergrads do not litter, in a state there are no rude drivers and racism does not exist. I am certain his half-moon glasses will jump up and down as he LHAO. Careful, he might show his teeth while he is laughing. Old profs are known to be forgetful and he might not have brushed this morning.

For a "bible belt" state, Oklahoman's are the rudest drivers I've ever seen. You would not know you were in a "christian" place the way people tailgate at 80mph.

Are there any nice Oklahoman's? I have seen very few. I came here to get a graduate degree at one of your major colleges...the school is filthy. I make my students clean the classrooms before we begin. No one smiles or says hi to you on campus, no one is friendly in the stores, very few people will talk to you. There is so much classism here it is embarrassing, yet people here LOVE the flag and America, but do not live it....ever.

I can't wait to leave here....I can understand why Oklahoma has the reputation it has. I use to be very much against stereotypes---until I came here. There is a reason why people think the way they do about Oklahoma...and it is because of the way people are here!
Be friendly! to everyone! Stop being Racist! Rich people are NOT better! (they are usually worse, selfish, nasty, arrogant) Brush your teeth! and they wont fall out! Pick up after yourselves! garbage is NOT cool! There is so much crime here it scares me! Cops do not believe in "service" here, just macho bullying (and I am from a Law Enforcement family...where I am from half the cops here would lose thier jobs). Stop trying to control people! Is that freedom??? Some of your laws here are so ridiculous that it is embarrassing.....no porno shops here, but Okla is in the top 10 for child molestation, is number one for animal cruelty, etc. Build some sidewalks!

I could go on for days about what is wrong here.....but to balance it...the good things about okla--the storms (totally awesome) and when it is green it is beautiful. That's about it.
*sigh*

Just another Yankee trollin' around. Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!

As an aside, I here Austin, TX is perfect for negative Yankee types like yourself. You'd love it there, Wyllo!

Likely not since this bogus poster is likely a "sock puppet" created by a certain regular poster here. This person likely created the account and post as a "tar baby" hoping that bashers would join in so they could "enforce the rules"....LOL....funny.

Moderator don't you think the OP is going over the line here? I certainly don't want to see this rule infraction " topics that often degenerate into flame wars, such as politics or religion, may be moved, closed, or deleted by moderators at their discretion without any warning to the participants."

No Sir! Let's be civil to one another and follow the rules!
