That's for the Election office to determine.

Jay Cutler will crush your dreams before you get to the Super Bowl. Trust me, I spent 3 years watching him play like **** in Denver.

You don't see how it's possibly a concern when a voter doesn't have to prove residency to vote in an election to recall a city's mayor?

Really?

That may well be, but I do know they made it to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman...Cutler has proven to be better than him so far.

They need to get past the Falcons first.

But on the Subtle Suttle Shuttle, yeah, it's pretty shady. It's too bad that the homeless shelter which knew nothing about has donors threatening to pull funding.
Agreed.....The Sienna Francis House is a good organization and has helped a lot of people. I feel bad for them.

The way I see it. Paying for votes is wrong. You can pay people in other ways than simply handing them money. You can give them anything of value. To a homeless person, a ride to somewhere warm, a meal, or free job training, those things are valueable. So if they find this to be illegal then the whole argument that Omaha shouldn't recall, because the mayor hasn't done anything illegal goes right out the window. . I think Suttle may have sealed his fate with this maneuver.

I just sent a donation to Sienna Francis House in honor of their decision to stop the exploitation of the homeless and for doing their part to keep the election process free of fraud. I was sent a receipt for tax purposes.

Anyone feels they can afford to do so, I highly recommend sending a donation to let them know we support their integrety.

They were basically bribed to vote. I know they claim it was training sessions but comeon, a duck is a duck is a duck. Or something like that.

I heard the Open Door Mission told them twice that no they couldn't bus people yet two busses showed up anyway. They didn't say if there was a confrontation or if they made them leave but my guess is they did. I know they were angry for them doing that and saying they were exploiting the homeless.

All of that will go through the same verification process as any other election.

Also we do not know how they voted. They all could have voted yes, or it could have been an even mix, or even all no. The thing is we will never and should never know as voting records are not part of public record and can not be released. Unlike that of a petition.

However, they were being told to vote "no" all the way through the process.

One person said that though. You would think that with as many people that were in that room that more people would have heard something. Also if this Doug Einung is the same one that was on a video from ketv he was against the mayor so I would not put much faith into his words. As I said I work where these people like to hang out and they tell me the media has it all wrong. So should I believe one person that has an agenda to push or 15 who really don't care one way or another how this plays out. Without indisputable proof (video, or more witnesses) I will not believe they were told to vote in any particular way.

Also this quote from the story you posted tells me nothing wrong went on inside the polling place...
'Had county election workers witnessed any coaching of voters, they would have stopped it, said David Phipps, Douglas County election commissioner.'

It looks like the Suttle Shuttle just won't run out of gas! For trying to pick up people that don't care one way or another they are mighty persistent. When does it become harrassment?

Regardless, it doesn't look good when this Forward Omaha group takes such aggressive action...being told NO three times!
