just, you are so right.

according to

http://www.drive-ins.com/theaters/ne/status_op=closed

At one point, Omaha area residents had their pick of up to half a dozen Drive-ins ..

one at 76 West Dodge,

the 84th & Center, (now a strip mall where the old hollywood video was at)

the Capris (was somewhere in 68102 zip code)

the Golden Spike at 114th and dodge (located at what is now a car dealership

the Skyview, (at 7200 Hartman Avenue aka the area south near Immanuel where a golden corral and walgreens is at now)

and the Q Twin (at 120th and q street)

and there was one in Bellevue called Grandview Outdoor

I wonder how many of the generation now in their forties were conceived at Drive In theaters? I know of at least three of my college buddies that had that unfortunate experience. One of them named his oldest son Shane, in honor of the event. I wonder how many forty something kids have the name Godzilla?

gunluver, I dont know how many folks are named Godzilla

but with names like Machine (that was a girl's name on a dating show on MTV a few years back)

Jermajesty
Kal-el
Moxie CrimeFighter
Audio Science
Fuchsia

and many people who's first names are named after states:

know people with first name Indiana (there is a australian actress with the first name Indiana who is in videos below:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1822469/

and there are folks with the first named Virginia (of course) and Oregon and Montana and Florida and Georgia and Arizona

have yet to someone with first name of Minnesota or Iowa or Wisconsin or massachusetts (I would bet there is someone with those first names out there somewhere)

and people with first names who are same names as cities such as Boston and Dallas and Dayton and Phoenix

never heard of anyone with first name of Omaha though there are folks who's first names I heard are Lincoln and Fremont and Blair

for kids, who knows is there are folks with first name Godzilla.

Default Eeb04

I used to work at Orchard 4 when I was 17. That was 15 years ago. Haven't been back to Omaha since. Sad to see it's closed.

Now I don't remember it, but there is the old Roseland theater in south Omaha. It's been apartments for as long as I can remember.
