So, Omaha hires individuals with developmental disabilities? I find that hard to believe. Or, is the OP just out of step with the times and still using "retarded" like it was used in elementary school back in the 50's and 60's?

I agree AnywhereElse

the profanity and inapproraite use of words like the R-WORD need to stop on her

btw, to be fair, Omaha does hire dumb folks to be on the city council (coughs, Districts 1 and 2)

and to various leadership positions in Omaha

and we also hire dumb people work in some areas of OPS and the local media (coughs, WOWT

but that has nothing to do with developmental disabilities

we in Omaha tend to hire people way too much not qualified for the job they have who are lets just say stupid.

Pete Festersen is has a Masters in Public Administration and has held management positions in some extremely profitable businesses, including his own. Ben Gray has had a long and successful career in media.

Disagree with them all you want, but those are both highly intelligent men.

Really? I must have missed the part where they were charged or convicted of tax fraud, evasion, or the like.

No idea what you're talking about here.

Strategic Business Development, LLC
Peter Kiewit Foundation
The Mayor's Office
Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce
Alegent Health

Those don't sound like bars to me.
