I would love to hear some opinions of what is the best city to live in in Calif?

I don't think you're supposed to post the same topic on multiple forums.

What does "best" mean?

Do not post the same message to multiple forums, this is cross-posting and multiple posts will be removed

Where I live.

Seriously, are you writing a magazine article and using City-Data as source material for such?

Most people probably cannot live exactly where they like, so they learn to like where they live, and it may become "the best" in their eyes.

When you say "best", best for what? For whom?

Also, the definition of city comes into play. Is a city some town over 10,000 people, or over 50,000 people?

Anyway......

That's like asking who makes the best steamed broccoli. I'd tell you nobody does because broccoli smells like a loaded baby diaper, while some farty vegan will name 50 places that offer it. Subjective questions like this are strange.

That's a trick question because steamed broccoli by definition is disgusting and can therefore not be good, and if it can't be good, then there cannot be a "best".

Steamed brocolli is awesome and the best place to live in California is Silverado Canyon. . . . no make that La Jolla. . .. . no, Old Town Orange. . . . . wait a minute what about Merced? . . . . .

Hold on hold on I think that Big Sur is the best place to live, or maybe San Fransisco. Napa is nice for farmers and the owners of wineries. Perhaps Avalon. Coronado Island? Coloma if you like seclusion. Solvang maybe?

Is the best town the place with the best pizza?
