I agree, because it pays to be flexible in life, and people who can't adapt are doomed. Some spend their lives blaming others for their poor problem-solving skills, limited motivation, and inertia.

I suspect that many of C-D's resident trolls fit into this category.

At the age of 52, your friend has decided to move in with Mommy, again??? She needs to look in the mirror.

I know a couple of fairly highly paid executives who still rent in Orange County. They just never got around to buying. Big deal....not everyone needs or wants to own a condo or a home.

Yea true. I'm just saying it's easier to survive here if you bought long ago. I bought a condo in 2002 and my mortgage is 1000.00 a month. My friends one bdrm apt is 1700.00 a month and gets raised every year.

I tell her all the time she should move to Az with me. So far she still wants to fight to stay here but soon she might not have a choice. She def can't retire here.

It could be that your friend needs to redefine "fight." Moving in with Mommy is not much of a fight. What constructive steps has she taken?

She paying off depts while at moms but that's not the topic. She's survived here 52 years so she's doing something right.

The topic is millennials can't survive here. My friend has a over 800 fico a good job and very responsible and is having a tough time living in her home town. You all think fighting every day to live somewhere is normal.... it's not. I hope my friend someday moves out of state so she can see her dollar go a lot further.
