Hello,

Any public (or private) teachers out there have an inkling as to the job market for the next school year? I'm currently an international teacher but looking to move back to the States. My family lives in Anaheim and we'd like to be closer to them. The economy and budget problems in a lot of states is making me think twice about the decision. If I'm flexible, are there opportunities likely?

I'm a licensed elementary teacher with 6 years experience... Masters degree, as well.

Thanks!
Mike

Nothing is impossible but it won't be easy. Start following any leads you have right now, and be ready to take whatever comes up. Let's face it, with budget problems, an over abundance of teachers and people having smaller families it probably isn't the easiest field to find employment right now. That being said, there are always a few openings. Maybe you will get lucky.

Good luck,

Nita
