Basically... cause you have to notice... People go to both parks but the wait time at disneyland is busier... so I guess you can say Disneyland will always be busier than anyone else!

Knottsbury has more rides, Disneyland I found disappointing... although California Adventure is right next door.

Besides, Magic Mountain always had the better rides but, if I have to choose one of the two then I guess I would choose Disneyland.
You are more likely to be shanked at Magic Mountain than anywhere. Last time I was at the mountain there was a stabbing. The mountain has always had gang problems since I have visited there back in the 70's.

Disney and Knott's both are great on security. On Haunt nights Buena Park PD is in force as they get in free.

Knotts all the way. When we come to town to visit family we always hit up Knotts. When we lived in Southern Ca. we would go to Knotts all the time. The cost is much cheaper, you get more for your money IMO.

I have to agree. Disneyland is clean, the employees are polite, the food is a hundred times better, the parades are great, the rides are well thought out, the atmosphere is more fun.....it's worth the price. Knotts was quaint and special in the 1960's. They should have remained a petting farm with wonderful jams and specialties. (During the month of October, it's worth visiting.)

If what you're looking for are rollercoasters, though, then Magic Mountain far surpasses the other two parks.

I haven't been to either place in 15 years. Since we have a 3 year old, I think we would pick Disneyland, since I think there are more things there that very small children could handle. We would definitely be strategic about when we go, like a Wednesday in February, for example (not Presidents' day week). Otherwise, you pay big bucks to spend hours in line.
