Hi All!

I've decided to make the move from Hollywood down to the OC since its much more my speed... (I'm a conservative business professional, not an entertainment-type... (I got stuck on a project at a studio))... I am really hoping to find a NEW or NEW-feeling apartment down there. I've lived in my fair share of old buildings in LA and I am just craving that new carpet smell - anything new or new feeling! Can anyone point me in the right direction in terms of finding a 1br in a nice complex with a pool near Costa Mesa? I'd really like not to go above 1300.00.

Also, the reason I'm moving down there is because I want to be around a more conservative crowd. Is this the sense that you have of the OC?

Thanks!

It sounds like you want Irvine. Not sure about the $1300/mo part though.

Pretty much. New apartment is an oxymoron in most of OC, but Irvine is nearby and actually has new/new-like apartments. South Coast Metro area will have some as well, but may be as or more expensive than something in Irvine
