Daytime is fine but I wouldn't want to be on any part of it at night. Down in that area, there's lots of areas where homeless people camp and there's lots of places for a potential attacker to hide and wait for someone to come by. It is also very dark. Its maybe two miles from the Adams bridge to PCH.

Oh... I didn't know homeless people camp there. That sounds kind of scary.

totally safe for a male. I do it a few times week in the evening.

I would think twice if I were female

From Brookhurst/Adams its about 2 miles.

There are quite a few wino dudes camping out in the bushes.

I know a couple in their 60s who ride from Orange to Huntington Beach and back mostly on the SA river trail, every Sunday afternoon/evening. They have no problems and say it is a really nice ride.
