I found this interesting factoid at NewsRegister.com - News and information for McMinnville and Yamhill Valley, Oregon - wine country newspaper

The article is about why we should reduce the incomes of PERS pension recipients, which is a bit ironic.

I see a lot of reasons why Oregon incomes have declined, but I would place it mostly on the decline of mining, logging and manufacturing in the state. There's no money coming in to feed the economic machine.
