I'm moving with my wife and kids up to the Jacksonville area and we probably can't afford a house right off and will rent for a few years. Can anyone suggest some good apartment complexes in the area that can cater to 3bed/2bath for around 1000$/month? What are the nicest apartments in the area and that are well maintained? We also have a few dogs if that helps narrow the choices.

Jacksonville proper is a very small town. I am not sure that there ARE any apartment complexes - looking at listings, I see some condos or townhouses. I see a couple of one bedroom things, but that is it. Houses tend to run more than your budget. A lot of the house rentals say "no pets" as well. I think you are going to have to look in Medford - pick your neighborhood carefully, because parts of West Medford (toward Jacksonville) are dodgy.

The two biggest are Providence Medford and Asante Rogue Regional, plus a scattering of smaller facilities. White City has a VA facility.
