Devils Churn, few miles south of Yachats, in mid-January 09

Then...

A wave hitting the rocks at Yachats. again, mid-jan. 09

and then....
mid jan. 09 at Empire Lakes
one of the lakes in the middle of town in Coos Bay. this is one of the Empire Lakes. Theres 2 of them, and miles and miles of paths deep through the forests around them. You can spend all day on these paths, we went with the intention of an hour walk around one lake, and ended up THREE hours later, after going around BOTH lakes. lol But as you can see, its simply beautiful, and hard to believe smack in the middle of our smallish town.
oh, and yes, there ARE fish in here....And deer in the woods, and other such...
and btw, this pic only shows about 1/10th of the size of the smaller lake.

Does anyone have photographs of the town called, "Clatskanie"? My husband just applied for a job there.

Also, I would dearly love to see photos of the beautiful Applegate Valley area. I used to live there, way back in those crazy 1970's. Absolutely beautiful place...went to 'Ruch' when it was just a teenie/tiny general store.

Thank you everyone. I just can't get enough of your Oregon pictures, it keeps my blood pumping on this bitter cold January day in Michigan.
