The worst that I experienced while surfing in California was getting stung by a stingray...in the foot when I was walking towards shore. OUCH! x 100!
My whole leg went numb. But unlike the possible outcome of a shark attack, I kept my leg.
Anyway, enough about sharks. Thanks for the tips and I'll be careful.

Exclamation Watch Out For....Your Daughters at the Lighthouse

Hey , better watch out for Chris Nelson (surfer) fisherman 42 in age. (approx)

He has been playing around with young girls 16. He should be locked up for

that. The last one would not roll on him .. well YET! so he still is out at

bastendorf beach when he is not in Alaska. Just so you Mothers know. Now

that's the kind of SHARK I'd like to Charm. He surfs also at the light house

there. I can't wait till he gets caught red handed. That's just so WRONG.

surfplay, i read an article in national geographic that said coos bay is great place to surf, lighthouse, and bastendorf rated very high. let us know what you think. worst expeirence ever had was leaving camel rock, trinidad ca and hearing a clicking sound on the truck. someone had loosened most of my lug nuts and taken off one or two. luckly had one locking type and wasn't killed. voodoo karma to those hateful locals. no one owns the ocean.

Windsurfing is my game, although some friends surf out of Roads End in Lincoln City. Has a nice long beach, not a lot of people, and good parking. There is also a great chowder house close by

Have fun!!!

Oh Patti, please don't tell people about Roads End surfing because this is where I live and I don't want more people coming here .... The truth is yes, people do surf here and I think there was even some kind of competition held here this year. As far as the chowder, if you mean The Dory Cove, it is no longer. It burned down and has reopened at the other end of town with a new name.
