This is really cool! It doesn't really help me personally, being down in Sarasota, but I have to think that they will expand further south or maybe other coach services will start up. I have always thought that some good express buses are really what would serve Florida's immediate mass transportation needs.

Default Would rather use RedCoach

I dont know about Mega Bus, I am so used to RedCoach, they travel throughout south Florida and I have never seen a better prepared bus before, the seats are made of high quality leather and you get Wi-Fi for free. On top of that because they have about half the amount of seats as all the other bus company you dont feel crowded and it's nice and quiet inside the bus if you want to do work or go to sleep. Oh and i think mega bus has the double deckers which are scary to me because if there's an accident you could easily flip , I better stick to what I know, it has been great so far.

Since this was bumped -

Soon both Megabus and RedCoach will pickup/dropoff from LYNX Central Station instead of their other locations. This is great news!

So....once you arrive at your destination city, then what? Scary/dirty public transit? Expensive taxis? Rental car? This has to be considered!

Sorry, I prefer the freedom & total lower cost of taking my own vehicle.

This sounds great but most people who stay for more than a day or two will need a car rental once they get up there so it might come out the same in the end. In that case I'd rather drive my lovely car. But great info nonetheless.

So I guess this wouldn't be a good fit for you...but I have friends in the other cities that would be willing to pick me up.

Some of these cities like Atlanta have fantastic public transportation. It's a matter of doing your research and making the best choice.

I too like the freedom of having my own car but it's nice to have a choice.

I suppose you have never flown anywhere either? You would have the same options once you land.

Or of course, and this is a huge leap of faith, you have friends or family that pick you up when you arrive.
