Is it feasible to commute from the Space Coast to MCO airport 4 days a week? How long would it take each way? How much would it cost in tolls each way?

I may take a job there, just playing around with ideas.

The Toll on 528 is $1.50, soon to be split between 2 toll booths. there are no other tolls if you exit on 436(the airport).

Melbourne also has an airport which might make sense too.

The commute to the airport is about 40 miles from Space Coast.

Hope that helps

Titusville would be a 40 mile commute which would probably take around 35 minutes given the average speed on 528. Traffic would rarely be an issue until you reach a few miles of the airport (if at all). Most rentals under $900 a month in the Orlando area tend toward icky versus a higher end rental community in Titusville (Summerhill for instance) that has larger one bedroom apartments (almost 800 sq ft) renting for $720 a month. If you don't mind the number of miles which could be time equivalent to a commute within the Orlando area, it strikes me as a pretty good deal. Good luck!

That place looks amazing! So I need a car that gets 40mpg and I could do the commute for roughly $40 per week.

I didn't expect rent to be so high in Orlando.

It's no more than an hour drive from most of Brevard County. Rockledge and the north side of Melbourne is nicer than Titusville IMO and won't add much time to your commute to the airport.

As long as there isn't an accident on I-95, traffic is not an issue.

I'd recommend looking into house rentals also. Because of how the market is right now, you can probably rent a 3-bedroom house with a pool for $800.
