My husband and I are planning to move to the Orlando area next year, my sister lives near the airport. We'll be staying with her for a month while my husband looks for a job. We would like to move to a city that is family friendly, good schools. Maybe at the most like 30-40 minutes from Orlando. Any ideas, advice..?

Does this mean you DON'T want to live inside Orlando?

Do you have a minimum distance from the city?

How old are your children?

Not inside Orlando, more like the outsquirts within 30-40 minutes. My kids are 5 and 2.

Clermont, Minneola, Winter Garden. I was born and raised in this area and am raising two kids in this area. I love it here!!

Any reason you're trying to stay 30-40 mins away from Orlando? Lots of family-friends areas can be found within the Orlando area

I agree. I live near downtown with kids (one young) and love it. Lots to do, I feel completely safe, everything is within reach.

Yeah. Honestly the best areas IMO are within the Orlando area (Dr Phillips, Winter Park, College/Baldwin/Thornton/Delaney parks) or are an hour away (Parts of brevard are good IMO, like Melbourne beachside and Viera). Lake Mary/Heathrow is a notable exception, but otherwise, 30-40 mins out of Orlando is pretty dingy
