Thanks, I will have to check PR's out the next time I'm there. I really need to find something, because I will miss my food terribly.

Try Taquito's Jalisco in Winter Garden off Highway 50 (West Colonial) or in MetroWest next to the old Sam Snead's ... good stuff.

Default good tex mex

Never fear fellow Texans...I too, am a transplant from the country we like to call Texas. I have struggled with finding good Mexican food as well. Most places are like McMexican and frankly, I have found them to be worse than a curse of worms. However, I found a place about a year ago that is wonderful! If you are in the East Orlando area there is a great place called Maria Bonita's (already mentioned). Not only is the food great, but their Margaritas aren't half bad too. If you get a chance to stop in and sit down with a cold one and enjoy the chips and homemade salsa while you wait for your enchiladas verde (or meal of choice) you will find that it would bring a tear to a glass eye and almost feel like home (Texas that is). Maria Bonita's definitely has my vote!

Try Taco Bell......now if you were looking for Caribbean or Cuban, now there is good cooking!
Texas is close to mexico , Florida is close to the Caribbean. Besides, give it a week or two, someone will open up another taco joint or two...or a hundred or.....

I have heard rumors that a Houston original, Pappasito's, is supposed to be expanding into Florida soon...so keep an eye out! GREAT Tex-Mex!
