Hi all,

I'm a young (21) single female looking to move to Orlando within the next year. I'll be working a full time job in the health field but I'm really hoping to get a part time job at Disney (or at least an annual pass) so I want to be close to the park (15 minutes or less would be ideal).

Aside from the criteria for location my biggest issue is safety. I don't go out a lot after dark and I'm not a huge party girl so I don't need a big social scene. I just want to be able to walk outside my apartment without always being on edge.

I'm looking for an apartment (preferably with a pool) and my budget for rent is around $1000 (I'll go up to $1300 if it means a safer area)

If anyone has tips on nice areas/neighborhoods and/or good apartment complexes I'd sure appreciate it!!

Thanks

Dr Phillips/Windermere

I'd leave my garage door open all day, very safe and very nice! However, when it comes to apartment buildings, make sure you check out the tenants. The area is very safe and nice, but apartments can be their own little city inside the gates.

No real apt complexes in DP, and $1300 is low end for the budget there.

I think winter garden vineland rd/535 should have apt complexes in that range which are closer to Disney

This is exactly what I would suggest. That said, where will you be working your primary job?
