I enjoy all those:

I'll add:

Attending UCF athletic events, and Orlando City Soccer Games
Going to theme parks (from time to time, they are fun)
Floating on the lazy river at Kelly Park
Biking through Orlando's bungalow neighborhoods and bike trails
Meeting new people at local events (Conductor's Crawl, Nerd Nite, Critical Mass, etc.)
Kennedy Space Center (too far away?)
Going to small town suburbs that call to mind more northern cities/a different time in their appearance (Mount Dora/Winter Garden)

So much negativity on here that I felt it was need. While I'm not moving to Orlando like I once planned to, I had a blast on my day trips into Orlando. You and clevelander listed some great things as well.

Wasn't sure whether to post this under it's own thread, but figured I would add it to this things to love about ORL. Just did the Spring to Spring Trail today on the north side of Lake Monroe.. Awesome. Most secluded bike trail I've been on in the Orlando area it takes the cake and at many parts feels like you are riding through a rainforest. Started up by Old Deland Road in Debary. Took the thing all the way across since I had family meeting me on the other side. Ended up at the Osteen Diner, a delicious, well priced greasy spoon breakfast joint. Especially compared to other Sun Belt cities/places in Florida, the city has done a great job with making sure there were plenty of spots for locals to run trails or bike/generally enjoy nature. A lot of old growth forest in this section I'm referring to. It's about 13 miles across, and comes out on the other end by 415 in Osteen, though a new bridge was added (I think the whole trail is new, since I wasn't familiar with it), so it may even go a few miles past that. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Adding to the list of great biking spots in CFL which include:
-Biking along the coast at Daytona Beach
-Cross Seminole Trail/Cady Way Trail
-West Orange Trail/Lake Minneola Trail
-Jay Blanchard Trail
-Orlando Urban Trail/Thornton Park/Audubon Park

And the James Van Fleet, Seminole/Wekiva Trails and Green Mountain State Scenic Highway, of which I have not tried!

Great post!

I also enjoy road trips to the beach. Kayaking and swimming at Blue Springs and Wekiva Springs. Spending the day relaxing in a water park.
