Wow they might as well just close up that mall and just leave the movie theater open.

I've only gone to Fashion one time and it was pretty depressing. However, I recently went to a food truck meetup in their parking lot and saw they are building a big hotel attached to the mall, which made me wonder if the mall has plans to remodel. It seems weird any company would look at that mall and say, "YES A NICE HOTEL IS EXACTLY WHAT IT NEEDS!"

I don't really find that to be a prime location for a hotel either...

News this week is that Orlando Fashion Square in the middle of a foreclosure battle.

Those renovations should have been done by now or at least halfway done. This could explain why pretty much nothing has happened.

From what I've heard, the plans for the hotel is "on hold", which probably translates to "deader than a doorknob".

News came out today that the subsidiary that owns the Fashion Square mall is filing for Chapter 11. It's going to be a real mess with that mall over the next year or two.

Hope they can find a tenant there. We enjoy going to that mall. It's small but it's close.
