I'm moving to the area from Miami with my husband and infant and need some input about 32824 and 32818. I've recently stopped working to raise our son so we are having to find a house on one income, which is hard even with the market. We would like to eventually move out to the Lake Nona area. We took a trip out there last weekend and really liked it and it seems like it'll be booming soon. For now, we're trying to find something under $200k and within a 30 minute drive from the airport. We're willing to do a townhome,,,even though we prefer a single family home.
I found a couple subdivisions online that I'm interested in...if you know anything please comment.I'm interested in SANDPOINT AT MEADOW WOODS, OAKCREST AT SOUTHMEADOW, PEBBLE CREEK, ROBINSON HILLS. Also, if you know of another place in the Orlando area that's within 30 min. of the airport, family friendly, and under $200k feel free to let me know.
Thanks so much for any help!

Smile 32824 question

I had lived in the area for almost 2 years and I liked it a lot. It is clean safe great new developments. We have Target,Walgreens,CVS,417, Youngyoung Pkwy and Orange Blossom Trail acccess. Going to Disney takes only 20 min and Florida mall 25 min. We have a nice library on OBT -417 crossing.
I have some friends who live in area code 32832. It is just 10 min from the airport also. It is also a new area. You could check also there. The houses could be a lit of bit more expensive but it is worth to take a look. 32822 it is also close. It is N-East of Airport. The area is known as Lee Vista. There are new houses (2002 and on). It is perfect for a family like yours.
Good luck!!!

Default Southchase

I live in South Chase, and we like it here. Nice houses, nice neighbors, and conveniently located to S. Orlando's amenities.

There really isn't much I can honestly recommend in 32818.
There are a few nice areas.
What sub divisions were you looking at in that area?

I was going to say the same about 32818. It is too close to bad areas in 32811 and 32808 to recommend. If you lived further out in Ocoee or Winter Garden, it gets nice again, but the majority of the westside north of the 408 and west of College Park is high crime and low income. 32824 is a nice area in general, middle class and with a lot of hispanic families and convenient to shopping and highways. There are plans to build a lot more in this area since it is close to the 32827 zip code where Lake Nona is. 32832 is pretty rural but is getting built up with some nice new homes.

I lived in Pebble Creek and left when the HOA meetings were spoken in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish. The HOA was horribly run, the pool was only open 3 months a year.

I lived in the 32818 area code for five years. You have to pick and
choose your neighborhood.

Actually Lee Vista is a great choice...you may find a very motivated seller and get something in your price range for a single family home. Lee Vista is practically around the corner from Lake Nona. It's a little less expensive than Lake Nona but is very nice, is a newer area and has a lot of newer homes. It's only about 10-15 minutes from the airport.

IMHO it's a lot better than the areas you mentioned. However, the zip code for Lee Vista is 32829 NOT 32822.
