You'd be smarter to go east a little bit to the Brevard County area- the mosquito lagoon is intracoastal/salt water and is plenty wide enough for water sports- and alligators don't call it home.

Try Winter Haven. They have the Chain of Lakes. Very boat friendly.

I have no sympathy for people who have no more sense then to get into fresh water here in Florida.

It wasn't but a couple weeks ago that a 19 year old got into the water to swim at like 2am and had his arm torn off my an alligator.

Default Great wakebording stuff url i found

We too love the wakeboarding opportunities across Florida, and of course, you need to take care and not intrude in areas that look like they may be populated with alligators. Moderator cut: website

I am sorry to hear that you lost your son to this horrible parasite. I think education is really important on this subject. Wakeboarding is extremely popular in Central Florida and it is a shame that people have to die while trying to have fun.

trying to find good lakes in the Orlando area to launch my boat & wake board. I am a Florida resident & will be taking advantage of the florida resident rates for hotel stays...I would like to spend my daytime hours on my board as opposed to the theme parks. Looking in and about the Orlando area...Living now in Fort Lauderdale...

Please advise
