Hello!
My husband will be working at MCO and I am a teacher (no position as yet -- waiting to apply close to where we land). We have been looking at Winter Garden /Windermere, but trying to find a nice neighborhood with a pretty consistently nice surrounding area. We would love a house with a pool (not too small of a lot or packed streets if possible). Budget is $650K - $750K. We want great schools for our boys. Is there a huge difference between Windermere HS, West Orange HS, and Dr. Phillips HS? Great Schools rates Dr. P lower.
Comments? Suggestions? THANKS!

Not a big difference between those schools. I'd say Windermere High, Olympia High, Dr. Phillips High and the new Lake Buena Vista High are same category and West Orange is slightly under them. As far as areas, I'd focus on Dr. Phillips area since you are looking for consistently nice surrounding area. Dr. Phillips can be zoned for Olympia, Dr. Phillips and Lake Buena Vista depending where in Dr. Phillips.

The schools in east Orange (Timber Creek, University) and Seminole (Oviedo, Hagarty) are better plus an easier commute to the airport.
