Yes stay away from OBT/Semoran(436) area... Oviedo, winter springs and winter park areas are good areas. I lived in the Waterford lakes area.

Something to keep in mind for people not in town when advising about OBT and Semoran is specific stretches of it. 436 goes from Wekiva to the airport and while there is a bad stretch in Azalea Park and down to about Hoffner or Lee Vista, there are also some nice areas in Altamonte, Wekiva and Winter Park that are also adjacent to 436, as well as the eastern edge of Baldwin Park.

Orange Blossom Trail runs from Mt Dora to Kissimmee and there are some nice areas between Apopka and Pine Hills by Bear Lake and Maitland that are okay but not the best, and then south of the Florida mall there are some areas of South Chase and Hunters Creek that are not bad either. You just want to avoid the area between Edgewater and Sand Lake that is mainly commercial but has some rough neighborhoods adjacent to it in Pine Hills and Oak Ridge.

Most of Semoran in Orlando is like Puerto Rico. I lived in the east side of Orlando near Waterford Lakes for 14 years. Its my favorite part of Orlando.

Again, not most since Semoran goes from Apopka/Wekiva to the airport and only portions in Casselberry and the stretch south of Colonial to the airport really fall in hispanic areas. This is too long of a road going through the entire area to generalize like this.

Thanks for all of help guys! It's really appreciated.

After visiting last week, we have learned that we need to stay on the west side of I-4, but the east side of 436! And we don't want to be exactly on 436 because it's not the greatest area... Hmm... This is all so confusing! HAHA..

Anyways, if any of you know of good places or have input on the places that we are considering (Siesta Lago, Miriada, Sienna Place, Valencia Plantation) please let me know!

Thanks Again!

The areas just west of I-4 are the worst Orlando has to offer you must mean far west like winter garden I hope.
