I think they totally do.
I think WalMart in general does where another store like Target or Publix has a much better stigma and affect on surrounding real estate. I am trying not to get too far off topic.

I agree with the poster who suggested looking at Winter Garden, you may also want to look at Mount Dora too, I do think you will find more retirees out in these areas and you won't have all the traffic and congestion of Orlando. I might also suggest you take a look at the Villages in Lake County if you haven't, many posters on here have had nothing but great things to say about it and it really isn't too far from where you wanted to be if it is your cup of tea. Best of luck to you! Oh, you mentioned a condo over a house, my husband and I have owned 2 homes in differing states for several years, we just sold one of them recently and I have to say without hesitation, the condo route is what we will do if we buy a second home again, all the upkeep and maintenance on another home is a real pain, especially the older we get, just my opinion.

Those are some great suggestions! I didn't think of those. They are good places for retired folks.
