HI,

I currently live in Massachusetts and looking to relocate to the Kissimmee-Orlando area. I have a 2 bdrm section 8 voucher. I would like to know if anyone has info on what steps I need to take in order to proceed. Also, how much are the maximum rent limits for sec 8 for a 2 bdrm. Is there any good school systems in that area, jobs...
Thank You

This may get you started on a search:
Section 8 Housing - Affordable Housing Online

Keep in mind that the area you are planning to move to with a Sec 8 will be highly Hispanic. This is no problem, but you may wish to learn some Spanish if you don't know any.

Also, please make some phone calls. I read in the paper awhile back where there was a 3-6 month wait in this area for Sec 8 housing...as is true in many areas of Florida.

Considering that Section 8 is means tested, I'm not sure how all these people think they'll have the savings required to make a long distance move.

Maybe because they budget there money well to move.. maybe its because they may use their income tax check to move long distance. Dont knock a person's dream to move because they have a means tested program that you want.

Stay on topic please. This is not about your opinion of Section 8.
