Hi guys,

Coming over from England with a view to relocating with my wife and 2 children.

Can anybody tell me what these areas are like:

Meadow Woods
North Poinciana
Turkey Lake

Safety is our number one priority...

Thank you for your help...

I would look at Windermere/Winter Garden area, along 535. It's called Disney's backyard. Very safe, all shopping conveniences, good schools, beautiful neighborhoods and safe. Alot of Brits around too!

I can't recommend any neighborhoods in south orlando, but since I see you're coming from England I can recommend the Cricketer's Arms Pub - right next to Festival Bay Mall. They show soccer (football) all the time (especially EPL) and it has a very nice 'English Pub' atmosphere to it. I figured you would be searching for a pub since you're from England.

Thank you for this. Although I am a soccer fan my favourite game is football (big New York Jets fan) and Baseball...I was born 3,000 east of where I should have been!

North Poinciana? I would check out South Poinciana, Villages 7 and 8 are the newest.. Also since you're coming from England you probably would like the Fact the "Merlin Entertainment" is opening up the largest Legoland EVER in Winter Haven, FL. Legoland Florida's entrance will be about 15-20 mins from the Southern Region of Poinciana which encompasses Lake Marion Creek Drive at Poinciana Parkway

Lake Nona, estimates put new jobs at over 23,000 plus over the next couple of years

Dr. Phillips is nice

Lake Mary is always a safe bet

Agree with the back side of Disney currently have 2 homes under contract for relocating buyers in this area, it has good schools.

Hope this helps,

Isn't life funny...here I am on the east coast (JETS territory) spending my entire life wishing I'd been born in the UK & thinking almost EVERY DAY that I was born 3000 miles WEST of where I should have been!!!

Plan to fix it soon tho with relocating to Central FLA (2nd life-long dream) & annual visits across the pond!!!! Maybe our paths will cross???
