Hey all. I haven't slept all night but I'm not even a lil tired. I think we have a lil problem here lol.

Today's Question(s):

I know the QOTD family is a pretty inventive/creative bunch so lets see just how creative you have been

What have you used as a "substitute" when you couldn't find a:
** more than one answer is encouraged !!! ***
Hammer ?
A wrench, a remote, I considered a sledge lol, but that seemed too stupid.
Screw driver ? Keys, a nail clipper, nail file, and scissors.
Beer, wine or regular bottle opener ? Edge of the table of course lol, someone else to do it for me.
Rolling Pin ? Hasn't come up.
Ironing Board ? Neither has that lol. When they taught us how to iron in school, we all got to use the board lol.
Saw ? I don't remember, but I know I tried other stuff lol, ohh, well a knife duh.
Pen or pencil to write down a number or message ? Texted myself on my phone when I had one, spelled it out in the dirt, sand, or snow lol, repeated it to myself over and over.

Any creative "substitutes" I forgot that you have used ?
Nothing I can think of right now, but I know I have alot.

Extra Credit Question:

Lets expand on the Ironing Board topic !!

Do you have one or more in your home ?

Just one I think.
Is it new or older ?
It's pretty old lol, my grandma's had it forever.
Last time you used it ?
I haven't used one since Home Ec like 6 years ago.
Where does it "live" ?
Umm, wow, I don't know lol.
Have you or anyone else ever used it for something other than its intended purpose ?
I've thought about taking it sledding lol, I wonder how that would work out.

Bonus Question:

When was the last time you Procrastinated doing something ?
Right now, I really should be trying to sleep.

Just for Fun:

Oops have you ever gone the wrong way on a one-way street ?
Yup, nothing a good old K-turn can't fix though lol, they made sure we learned that in Drivers Ed.

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you're not dragging as much as I am ...

What have you used as a "substitute" when you couldn't find a:
** more than one answer is encouraged !!! ***
Hammer ?
Shoe heel, can of soup
Screw driver ? Fingernail, pen
Beer, wine or regular bottle opener ?Nail file, knife
Rolling Pin ? Drinking glass
Ironing Board ? Table, floor, desk, bed
Saw ? Can't think of any for this!
Pen or pencil to write down a number or message ? Crayon, nail polish

Lets expand on the Ironing Board topic !! Do you have one or more in your home ?
Just one, about 30 years old, stored in the linen closet; I have no idea when I used it last. Probably when the spouse needed to press a shirt; he's hopeless about a) ironing, and 2) hanging up his clothes properly so they don't get wrinkled in the first place.

When was the last time you Procrastinated doing something ?
What do you think I'm doing right now?? Isn't that what the internet is for??!!??

Just for Fun:
Oops have you ever gone the wrong way on a one-way street ?

Yep. One night I drove at least six blocks up Plum Street in downtown Cincinnati before I realized I was going the wrong way.

Saw ? - I didn't See that.

Duct tape, it can fix anything!

Just for Fun:

Oops have you ever gone the wrong way on a one-way street ?
LOL... Yep, as a matter of fact I did it recently when I was in Hawaii, but only for a very short distance. I didn't feel like driving for a couple of blocks to get on a street that went to a freeway entrance, so I made a turn onto a one-way street and drove the wrong way for about 100 feet. There was no traffic, and thankfully no police officers to arrest me and take me to some guy that said "Book him Danno!"....

Today in History:

1904 - Harry D. Weed of New York state patented the grip-tread tire chain for automobiles
1943 - "LIFE" magazine spotlighted a dance craze that was sweeping the U.S.A. -- the Lindy Hop. The Lindy was named after American aviation hero Charles A. Lindbergh

Word of the Day:
distrain \ dih-STREYN \ , verb;

Oh, I just thought of something. Many years ago, I learned how to carry around loose kitchen matches to light various things. (lol ) and if I didn't have the box around, I would either strike the match by rubbing it really quick on the leg of my blue jeans, or use the zipper of my blue jeans.

I don't know what made me think of that. Just procrastinating folding 10 loads of laundry, I guess. LMBO!!!
