Hammer ? Meat tenderiser, shoe, lump of wood (none very effective)
Screw driver ? Kitchen knife, letter opener, nail file (all fairly effective)
Beer,wine or regular bottle opener ? I have so many of these, I can always find one!
Rolling Pin ? Milk bottle (in the days when milk came in a glass bottle) Ironing Board ? Dining room table, kitchen bench
Saw ? Hmm... can't think of any substitute, much less one I have used
Pen or pencil to write down a number or message ? I just repeat the number out loud as I run around the house looking for a pen.
