The weather does seem to be holding up- I've come in from the garden and am quite warm.
We were married during May many moons ago and it was perfect.
A day later we were in the Caribbean where many couples were getting married out there. Although the weather out there was good overall I did feel sorry for those couples that got caught up in the daily downpour.
I watched much of the last part of the wedding proceedings. Didn't get up in time for the wedding itself but I saw the balcony scene. They seem like they are really in love and I hope they will have a long and happy married life. Been a long time since there was a high level "love match" in that family that resulted in a successful marriage. (The debacles of the marriages of both Charles and Andrew were a blight on the monarchy itself.) I thought Kate's dress was gorgeous--understated, simple, elegant and beautiful. I'm so glad the weather cooperated for this big day.
Last time weather ruined something for me was a few years ago when some nasty weather swept through here at the community Fourth of July picnic. Everyone had to scurry home and take cover.
Nothing like getting rained out for an outdoor wedding or a baseball game.
Actually I do remember a block party we (my daughter and I) went to back in Az, it was the New Years Eve block party in Tempe and shortly before midnight, it started raining so we ended up leaving.
I don't know about London but we just had a sharp shower a few minutes ago- around 11pm.
So it seems that it did hold off for the big day. They were able to use the open carriages for their parade back to Buckingham Palace.
