Today's Question(s):

Last things that might of had you saying

"Well this is going to be as exciting as "watching paint dry" ? I've been lucky enough to not have to put up with any of these episodes recently. If I had to take a guess it'd have to have been some corporate type presentation where they go on about how wonderful the company is. All those indecipherable PowerPoint presentations and endless bullet points ... zzzzzzzzzz

Last things that you thought would be as exciting as "watching paint dry" but turned out to be a lot more interesting/fun ?

Bonus Question:It's swimming pool day,which means we get to talk about them

Last time you were in a Pool ? Probably late March, early April.

Do you have a pool ? Not anymore, sold our other house that had one, back in May. And don't want another one.

Closest pool to your home ? About a 7 minute drive. An indoor pool.

Would you rather:
Swim laps ? Oh Lord no! I'd probably drown from boredom.
or
Float around on a float ? Yes! With a cup holder for my nice icy cold drink

Just for Fun:

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your
Etch-A-Sketch skills ? About an 8. They're fun!

Today is:
National Pecan Pie Day Oooh yum! Way too sweet but I don't mind a tiny slice of good Pecan Pie. With whipped cream.
Paper Bag Day Not too many of those around here.
Etch-A-Sketch Day
Cow Appreciation Day I think cows are great, and cute.
Eat Your Jello Day Okay, lime flavoured please!
Pier Day
Swimming Pool Day

Today's Question(s):

Last things that might of had you saying

"Well this is going to be as exciting as "watching paint dry" ?

LOL, today we have painters & carpenters at the house and I'm working at home in case they need something. Not much work for me today, though, and the big concern is getting the painting done between rain storms. So literally, I'm watching paint dry today.

Last things that you thought would be as exciting as "watching paint dry" but turned out to be a lot more interesting/fun ?

The drama of two houses sharing a driveway, with one house having major remodeling work and the other house having moving vans and furniture deliveries, combined with a road closure and passing severe storms, has turned out to be more interesting than you mgiht think. It's quite a dance we're all doing.

Bonus Question:
It's swimming pool day,which means we get to talk about them

Last time you were in a Pool ?

Yesterday. The pool is 2 short blocks away so I walk over there all the time. I tend to goof around in the water rather than swim laps.

Just for Fun:

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your
Etch-A-Sketch skills ?

I'm fairly good at it, although none of my works are worthy of a museum. So maybe an 8.

Today's Question(s):

Last things that might of had you saying

"Well this is going to be as exciting as "watching paint dry" ? I'm tutoring this summer & although parents said they wanted their kids to come many of them aren't. We provide transportation, so they don't even have to bring the kids. So for a couple hours there's not much to do.

Last things that you thought would be as exciting as "watching paint dry" but turned out to be a lot more interesting/fun ? I'll have to think about this.

Bonus Question:

It's swimming pool day,which means we get to talk about them

Last time you were in a Pool ? Sunday night

Do you have a pool ? My parents put in a pool when we were getting older thinking that it would keep us coming home in the summer. We, my sibs and I, now own the house & get together there often.

Closest pool to your home ? My parent's home is about 9 miles from my home.

Would you rather:
Swim laps ?
or
Float around on a float ? Oh, this one. No question!

Just for Fun:

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your
Etch-A-Sketch skills ? How about a -1. My 15 yr. old niece is amazing with an etch-a-sketch. One of my nephews was challenging her to draw people and things. He had her draw a dog. Amazing. Then Abe Lincoln. It looked just like him. Next was the Titanic sinking. Incredible. Then Abe Lincoln walking a dog on the deck of the Titanic as it was sinking. I don't know how she does it, but it seems to come easily to her.

It is supposed to be close to 90 today, so I'll be back at the pool after tutoring. Have a good day!

Mornin' all!

Today's Question(s):

Last things that might of had you saying

"Well this is going to be as exciting as "watching paint dry" ?
The wedding reception of a casual friend. It was pretty dull. She's a real weirdo, and I guess I expected a little bit more. But I knew her folks would be there.

Last things that you thought would be as exciting as "watching paint dry" but turned out to be a lot more interesting/fun ?
One of hubby's Netflix movie choices. I thought it would be stupid, but I liked it more than I thought I would. Can't remember the movie. Guess it wasn't all that great.

Bonus Question:
It's swimming pool day,which means we get to talk about them

Last time you were in a Pool ?
Ages ago.

Do you have a pool ?
Too much work.

Closest pool to your home ?
There's one at the Y. Neighbors got one...I should get to know them better...

Would you rather:
Swim laps ?
or
Float around on a float ?
Neither, sort of. I'd rather swim around and do summersaults, backflips, corkscrews, handstands, etc.

Just for Fun:

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your
Etch-A-Sketch skills ?
Ooooooh! I love Etch-a-sketch! But my skills would only be a 3 or 4.
