Happy hump day, kids! Have you ever broken
a glass and had difficulty picking up all of the
shards? It can be a real pain - literally! Scroll
on down for a few tips on how to clean up all
those little pieces.

HOW TO PICK UP GLASS SHARDS

- Wet a piece of cotton wool. Dab this over the area where the glass
splinters are. The damp cotton wool will pick up the shards.

- Use an old piece of soap. Wet it and dab it over the splinters. It
will pick them up. Be careful not to touch the end picking up the splinters!

- Wet a piece of newspaper or butcher's paper. Dab one side over
the shards and collect them. The advantage to this method is that
you can clean up a wider area of splinters quicker.

- Take a slice of soft bread, lay it over the glass shards, press, and
carefully pick it up. The shards will stick in the bread.

Don't eat the bread

Great ideas, Pam. I've used newspaper in the past and it works well.

I also used a sliced potato once.

Curses of curses, how many times has some glass object slipped from my hands, I swept and swept, vacuumed, figured I got it all, and then? Couple days later, there I go, stepping into some tiny iota of glass, being barefoot. Grrrr......
