Today's Questions:
What’s the strangest or animal you’ve seen around your house and/or property? None of these are strange to me, but I guess they might be to some of you guys: possums, kookaburras, bush rats, frogs, cane toads, the occasional wallaby - and just a mile or so down the road, a koala trying to cross the road (yes, he did get to the other side).
What’s the most unusual pet you’ve ever had? Hmmm - I have no unusual pets to report - I had a hamster, then two guinea pigs.
Everyone has one, so what’s a funny story about something one of your pets has done? No funny stories, but a cute one. When I was home in UK last year (at my parents house), I was hanging out some washing, which was in a plastic laundry basket. Carrying the empty basket back inside, I noticed there were a huge number of little bite marks all over it. Asking my mother about them, she reminded me that we used to put the guinea pigs into the basket while their hutch was being cleaned out, and they amused themselves by nibbling on the plastic. I am 62, I had the guinea pigs when I was aged 10 or 11 - so the laundry basket that my mother still uses is at least 50 years old, and in spite of a multitude of bite marks from little critters still does the job that it was intended for! Not sure that a plastic laundry basket bought today would have such a long and illustrious career!
What is one quality your pet has that you wished more humans had? I have no pets, but did take long term care of my friend's dog until quite recently. I liked that when I told the dog "no", he didn't sulk... and he didn't argue. And he always ate the food I gave him without complaint. Those are qualities I wish more humans had!
Bonus Question:
Have you ever told a ‘white lie’ to spare someone’s feelings? Oh yes, plenty of times.
If so, what was it? Too many to specify, but usually to do with butts not looking too big.
Have you ever told someone the truth that unintentionally hurt their feelings and you wished that you would have told a “white lie”? I expect I've hurt a few people's feelings along the way, but I can't think of any occasions where they've told me.
Just for Fun:
I just watched an awesome show on the history of BBQ, so I wanted to ask,
Where’s your all-time favorite place to get BBQ? In someone's backyard. We don't really do BBQ in restaurants here.
What’s your favorite ‘style’ of BBQ (TX, KC, etc)? I don't have one. I'm not really familiar with US style BBQ.
When you BBQ, do you make your own BBQ sauce or buy pre-made? I'd buy pre-made.
Do you have a BBQ sauce recipe you’d like to share? LOL nope.
What’s the most unusual pet you’ve ever had? Duck or baby deer!
Everyone has one, so what’s a funny story about something one of your pets has done? None of them are funny!
What is one quality your pet has that you wished more humans had? They can't speak!
Bonus Question:
Have you ever told a ‘white lie’ to spare someone’s feelings? Of course!
If so, what was it? Which one?
Have you ever told someone the truth that unintentionally hurt their feelings and you wished that you would have told a “white lie”?

I just watched an awesome show on the history of BBQ, so I wanted to ask,
Where’s your all-time favorite place to get BBQ? My house!
What’s your favorite ‘style’ of BBQ (TX, KC, etc)? Texas! Is there any other kind?
When you BBQ, do you make your own BBQ sauce or buy pre-made? We use both! I prefer to make my own but don't always take the time.
Do you have a BBQ sauce recipe you’d like to share? Nope I just throw some tomato sauce in a pan add some onion and garlic and brown sugar and Apple cider vinegar...etc.

What is one quality your pet has that you wished more humans had? They sure make good nap buddies.

Today's Questions:

A Cooper's Hawk
What’s the most unusual pet you’ve ever had?
A turtle

Haven't had a pet since I was a kid BUT when we were kids, my younger sister used to tease the cat. Back in the old days we had one of those dishwashers you roll up to the sink and when it wasn't being used, it sat under the kitchen window. The cat used to sit on top of it and look out the window. He saw her coming home from school one day (she was like in kindergarten or first grade), walking up the driveway. He jumped from the top of the dishwasher to the top of the refrigerator and as soon as she walked through the door, he jumped on her head from the top of the refrigerator. When she was around 3 or 4 he used to stalk her from behind the door. As soon as she walked by he jumped out and grabbed her leg and wouldn't let go. That's what you get for pulling the cat's tail all of the time.

Where’s your all-time favorite place to get BBQ?
I'm guessing you mean location as no one else would know non-chain restaurants -
Memphis.
What’s your favorite ‘style’ of BBQ (TX, KC, etc)?
Not North Carolina. Memphis.
Do you have a BBQ sauce recipe you’d like to share?
Today's Questions: What’s the strangest or animal you’ve seen around your house and/or property?
One place I lived at while growing up you were very likely to see one or more large brown bears wandering about the housing compound.
What’s the most unusual pet you’ve ever had?
I have had no pets.
Everyone has one, so what’s a funny story about something one of your pets has done?
Everyone but me.
What is one quality your pet has that you wished more humans had?
Any pet that I might have had, but did not, probably would have had bad habits.
Bonus Question:
Have you ever told a ‘white lie’ to spare someone’s feelings?
There have been times I have told it like it was because the person needed to get his head out of where the sun don't shine. If I am in the "spare someone's feelings" mode, I usually just play dumb and stupid.
If so, what was it?
Have you ever told someone the truth that unintentionally hurt their feelings and you wished that you would have told a “white lie”?
Not really. I was raised using the " if you did not want to know, you should not have asked" approach to things.

I just watched an awesome show on the history of BBQ, so I wanted to ask,
Where’s your all-time favorite place to get BBQ?
For sure, not Belgium.
What’s your favorite ‘style’ of BBQ (TX, KC, etc)?
I have no idea what the difference from one to another is.
When you BBQ, do you make your own BBQ sauce or buy pre-made?
Make my own
Do you have a BBQ sauce recipe you’d like to share? I don't have a set recipe. I just dump in whatever looks good that day.
